Jacob's Ladder is a classic toy that alternates it's connective surface consecutively as the top block is flipped. Held at one end, blocks appear to cascade down the ribbon. This effect is a visual illusion which is the result of one block after another flipping over. Each colourful block is held together by a ribbon.
